Tori wanted to shoot her senior session in the beautiful mountains of Eastern, KY so we headed to the top of what we call La Citadelle for part of her photo shoot. Tori was easy to direct into almost any pose, showing off her outfits as we travelled around Hazard, KY.
In order to get this next shot, I combined natural light with a studio strobe to get the side glow. I do this often in the garage adjacent to the studio.
Every senior gets to experience back lighting at my studio because it is TO DIE FOR and an essential part of what I have to offer for a beauty portrait. I love to shoot with south facing windows behind my subject, reflecting back into the eyes with 12 feet tall reflectors, or strips, I get at our local Home Lumber Company. You could also find this material in the insulation department at Lowe’s.

Our studio is located in Hazard, KY. We provide a model-like experience for High School Seniors! We provide hair and makeup also, studio and outdoor locations. We only photograph 100 seniors a year! You have to be one!
