Hey, it may have been summer in Kentucky, but I think we pulled off a freezing, arctic look with this posh, Eskimo jacket. Lexi didn’t care that it was 100 degrees in the shade on her senior portrait day! In the editing process I added some blue to further the atmosphere. You will also see classic but contemporary shots in black and jeans along with her beautiful summer dress and hat. It may look cold in some of these shots, but Lexie’s BLUE eyes could melt ICE!
It’s not everyday I meet someone with the same name as my daughter, McKenna! This was one of my favorite sessions in the middle of the hot summer! We made use of the beautiful weed here in Kentucky, Queen Anne’s Lace. We were also inspired by the contemporary black on black look. Even though McKenna is tiny, her legs are a mile long which made for beautiful shots as well. We threw in some patriotism with her red, white and blue look and gave a nod to the RIO Olympics! My favorite shots were done in a red Sherri Hill prom dress and denim jacket, topped with a red flower crown I made for her the morning of the shoot from my own garden of gladiolas! McKenna plans to attend UK in the fall. It was a wonderful day working with her!
Meet the beautiful Ashlynn. We wanted her senior pictures to capture the essence of who she is, the sweetest, most kind hearted senior I have ever met. We drew inspiration from the colors of fall since they match her Goddess chestnut colored hair, and runway shots of Kendall Jenner. Her studio shots are some of my favorite because they are simple and contemporary portraits. I especially love her location shots too because we were able to add some scenery that complimented her fall looks.
Ashylnn plans to study medicine next fall at WKU or Morehead. She has a passion for pediatrics and I can see why. I know her light will continue to bless others. I’m so excited I got to know HER and her wonderful Mama!
